Workstream Announces Workstream Development 6.0
Company Offers Robust Competency-Based Development Solution – Including Comprehensive Succession Planning, Learning Management and Organizational Charting Capabilities

Workforce Management software, today announced the release
of Workstream Development 6.0, a new addition to the Workstream
TalentCenter suite, which can also be purchased as a stand
alone product. The Workstream Development 6.0 product line
significantly enhances the employee development capabilities
the Company offers with particular emphasis on providing
Human Resource organizations with tools to retain high
potential employees and develop the quality of their overall
workforces.
Key components of this solution are a robust succession
planning product, organizational charting and the ability
for employees to create and manage individual development
plans through access to over 10,000 pre-packaged career
development courses, including the entire SkillSoft™ e-library,
as well as through direct links to the Workstream Competency
Dictionary, thus enabling customers to simplify and efficiently
manage the competency models, jobs and roles within their
organizations.

Workstream Development 6.0 is a highly configurable offering
where administrators can choose from hundreds of options
for every aspect of competency development and succession
planning. Workstream Development has deep integration to
Workstream Performance, which enables employee assessment
results to trigger the creation of Individual Development
Plans that seamlessly address the competency gaps and training
needs of employees. These IDP’s can be managed against
a wide array of skills, behaviors, attributes and competencies.
This unique approach leverages the Workstream Competency
Dictionary which contains more than 9,000 technical competencies
with the learning and development content provided through
a set of pre-integrated links to over 10,000 SkillSoft™ training
courses designed for employees and managers. Once training
is completed, employee profiles are then automatically
updated within the Workstream Development product.
Workstream Development 6.0 is a truly global solution
that can be deployed to handle European and Asian languages.
Workstream Development is also a flexible solution that
allows customers to easily configure and administer the
systems themselves, without IT intervention. Workstream
Development can be deployed as a stand alone application
or integrated with other applications such as Workstream
Performance to create a mini talent management solution.
The Workstream Development 6.0 product can be efficiently
integrated with other major ERP systems including SAP and
Oracle-PeopleSoft. Because it is complementary to these
systems, Workstream Development 6.0 helps to extend their
